2007 F250 Shifting Trouble

I have an ‘07 F250 with 6.0L and 133k miles. Truck was running fine, and I took it through a car wash yesterday. It could just be a coincidence, but after being washed it started to shift hard under normal driving. No heavy loda or anything. Just seems to be shifting hard and up/down shifting randomly. It’s not throwing any codes. This morning I got in and tried to go and it won’t move. Won’t go forward or reverse. Climbed underneath and all connections seem to be intact. Fluid levels are good and seems clean on the dip stick. Any ideas as to the problem? Thanks in advance.

Where there any pending codes when you checked the codes?

No there weren't. I tried to put in in Neutral and push it and it would rock back and forth, but wouldn't go anywhere at all. Almost like it was still in park. Putting it in reverse and drive and revving the engine did nothing at all either. I let is sit a while longer and tried it again and when I put it in reverse and revved it nothing happened at first, then it clunked into reverse and took off. I'm afraid to try and drive it to much at this point as I don't want to damage anything. The linkage looks ok from underneath, but I'm wondering if something is wrong inside with it now.

Yes, something went wrong inside. The next step is to pull the trans out and either tear it down or replace it. This one is done.

Are you the original owner?

Do you know the fluid and filter change maintenance history?
