what are you guys running in your engines to keep them quiet?
sometimes pure syn is more noisier than a blend or pure dino......any favorites out there?
New engines might sound the same reguardless of oil type....but 75K to 100K miles later....when you press the gas pedal.... pure syn sounds like your shaking a toolbox.
My 7.3 likes 15w-40 Amsoil. Some guys have noticed that 5w-40 works great in those motors. As for my 6.4, I run the same oil. It's obviously a much quieter motor, so noise has never been an issue. Truck only has 160,000 miles on it though. I'm sure that may change when I get some more miles on it.
