diagnostic tool?

Would it be possible for you to list what functions/gauges you get out of it? Maybe some video? Or, pics? I am really interested in how well these work on these trucks. I understand, if you have no time for all that. It is a large request.

I need to go thru the list in the owner's manual and check off the sensors that are read by the Interceptor. And for another thread I started elsewhere I need to vid the HPOP pressure readings during a full throttle run. I'll share both here.

So, the Interceptor will do just about everything AE will do? Did you say it will buzz test, read and clear codes? I may now be leaning that direction. I am fixing to finally make the purchase.

Yes, the Interceptor reads and clears codes, does the buzz and the contribution tests.
Plus, you mount it in a gauge pod and it is ALWAYS with you giving you data.
But....the AE is much better at data logging and displaying its data graphically...when you have its cigarette pack sized OBD port read connected and a laptop or Windows based PC connected.
Garage only or multiple vehicles? AE
Everyday life? Interceptor.

That's the one. Look closer; it's trapezoid-shaped, not rectangular.
Now don't ask me why it's pointed downward instead of toward the occupant. We have two '95s; one had it pointing aft and the other had it pointing downward. No freaking idea why, other than that they were built in two different factories. If you look closely at the connector, you see you can re-mountint pointing aft. Makes it much easier to plug in a device.
If the truck has ever been serviced at a dealer, it's probably been flashed to use that connector.

This is what I do:
Plug AE into OBD II port
Put cord in computer, then into AE
key on
open program
Select vehicle then communication configuration
select usb & J1850pwm-non OBD II only
vehicle, connect, select Ford, not Ford Europe then the year
Model is powerstroke 7.3
Enhanced powertrain
