i have a 2013 F150 Fx4 5.0... and the question I need help is about my engine fans. They always run high after I have the truck running or have been driving for awhile. I am stationed in Fort Drum and the weather isn't hot at all up here. The temp hasn't been higher then 50 these past couple of weeks. Its not been too cold nor has it been too high up here. So why is this? do I need to be worried?
try starting your truck with the a/c and defroster off. see how the fans operate that way. do they kick on as soon as the truck is started or do they take a little while to kick on? and following that have you heard them go from low to high after wards or do they go straight to high? Just trying to get an idea of what is going on? if the a/c or defrost is selected I believe the fans will come on as soon as the engine is started to keep air moving across the condenser(first section of the radiator, at least it is on my 4.6L).
when I turn the truck on with out the defroster or a/c it takes a little while for the fans to kick on and when they kick on its automatically turns to high. I will do a video on youtube so that I can show others what is going on. Cause if others have question on the same problem I want to help them out on this issue. If it is one?

Hi Harley DOC325,
Since you're concerned, I'd recommend getting your truck in front of your local Ford Dealership; they'll look things over and provide a diagnosis. How many miles are on your truck? I'll do what I can to assist as well.
