ok i may have discribed it poorly, when i put the truck in first and let off the clutch and give it gas, right before i release the clutch completely, the truck bounces a little bit. or shake more or less. but as soon as i let off the clutch totally it goes away and drives fine. and it seems like it only does it if i let of the clutch quickly, but not always
Climb under and try to turn the drive shaft, if you can move it (play in the u-joints) you need to replace them. This is a lot easier than looking at the clutch so you can narrow down the options.
My easy method of checking motor mounts, block wheels and apply emergency brake. Have helper stand Beside truck while you place it in drive/1st, and rev it a little. Repeat for reverse. No lifting of either side of engine, all's well.
ok i checked the u joints and they were good, when i took the tranny off i dont remember them being in bad shape... so im gonna check motor mounts and radius arm bushing.. now another quick question... either my transmission or rear end is making a sound almost like someone is dragging a piece of metal on the ground in 1st and 2nd and a little in 3rd. im not sure where it is exactly coming from... could that be the result of low fruid in either??? has anyone ever had this happen to them
