Yesterday while coming home from picking up a new to me escape, I was pulling a long hill on the interstate and the CEL came on. I have been battleing a P1211 code since I purchased the truck so I figured that was it. I had no miss, no loss of power, nothing out of the ordinary so I continued on my way. When I got to Plattsburgh I stopped for fuel and hooked up AE. I had an P1316 IDM code, P1249 wastegate control valve code performance, P1247 Turbo boost low, P1248 Turbo Boost pressure not detected, and P1211 ICP pressure.
Before I left work last night I ran a buzz test and got P1276 #6 hi to low side open. I cleared all the codes and drove home.
This morning I checked it again and the IDM code comes back and it is a P1276 again. Buzz test sounds identical across all injectors and there is no loss in power at all.
I also checked MAP, BARO, and EBP this morning to make sure everything was where it was supposed to be and my BARA is showing 147 PSI. MAP and EBP both show 14.8 which is right for the area.
Where do I go from here? Is it time to sit down with a multimeter and start probing looking for a bad connection or do I throw another injector at it? I don't have any live AE data from yesterday or today but I do have a set under "2003 smoking".
As far as a I can tell the truck programing is stock unless the PCM has been flashed. There is no programmer and no chip in the truck.
An injector can buzz just fine in the driveway, yet have issues with the vibration of the engine and the road. I would click that UVCH link in my signature and see what answers can be found there.
