So I come out of NAPA, jump in the trusty '95, lean back and what ever shears in the seat back hinge area with a rear end collision let go. I suddenly notice I really should replace that headliner.

I've read on here about people having the seat frame crack or break. It's steel so it can easily be welded if needed. Not sure which type of seats this applies to, if not all of them. Never had a Ford seat break on me even in junk that I've hit jumps with and stuff.
If it's really the recliner mechanism, well there ain't much to it. Just a few teeth that mesh together, kind of like a fine tooth sector gear. Should be able to eyeball it and see what's wrong.
