Driver seat reclining...problems

I recently noticed that the drivers seat doesnt sit at the same angle that it used to at the most upright position. There is a lot of play in the seat back...i can rock it back and forth...i thought maybe it wasnt bolted down tightly but it is..Has anyone had this problem? Is the reclining mechanism on the side of the seat replaceable? would that have anything to do with it?
Thanks for any input...this is a real pain in the ***

I don't know why it's like that, my seat is the same way and so is my buddy's bronco. I know the passenger seat is more upright than the driver's side. When I get that chance I'm gonna pull the seat apart and see what's up with it.

i have the same prob, unfortunately. after weeks of tinkering with it, i finally cut the fabric covering the lower part of the seat to check the frame, sure enough, the frame had snapped in half right in front of the reclining mechanism. you might check that at some point if other methods of fixing it, such as tightening the bolts on the reclining mechanism, dont work. hope this helps

Would these seats bolt in without any problems?
