This is gonna be a handful, but here I go anyways. On my 96, I recently did the UVCHs, gaskets, and pigtails. I hooked up a wire wrong and the number 7 injector wasn't firing. Went back and changed it, and nothing happened. Is it possible that I killed an injector, as it was injecting on the exhaust stroke or intake? Totaly the wrong time for fuel to enter the system... it's got 307030 kms, I believe that's near 190xxx miles. Anywho, is it past it's time of death? If they it is dead and I can't find a cheap replacement, I'll save up for stage 3s, an s468 and supporting mods. If not, what can I do to "revive" the injector? It vibrates between 1000rpm and 1700 rpm ONLY UNDER LOAD like in 4th and 5th gears. Idles rough too. Also, I ran er low on oil like 2 days before I did the gaskets, is it possible that starving it from oil can kill it or maybe it's just clogged?
What Nathan said. Ps. Nathan's not far from you either lol. If you see one not spitting you can try to move the injector around and see if the problem follows it.
I know another guy on here that switched some wires around by accident and after finding the problem and correcting it didn't have any lasting effects.
Well I've put about 1000kms on it so I don't think it's gonna fix itself. I suppose next time I'm under the hood of my 7.3 I could run it without the valve cover. Now I'm working on my fix.0 lol. Cracked egr cooler.
Here's the thing. Just got in it to warm it up this morning and put my high idle on, and it runs on all 8. Idle to 1000 runs rough. What else could it be?

mine idles rough at 1000. Smooth as can be at 1100
Haha. Not likely. It's brand new. Rpm and "roughness" are very consistent. All I need to know is if and how I can fix it, or if I need to go buy a new engine.
Well gents, I figured it out. I was looking in the wrong spot. The factory harness was rubbing thu on the driver side front injector harness. taped er up and now she's runnin on all 8.
