Z is a super nice guy and 6.0 knowledgeable. He'll help you out for sure, he's just a busy man.
Late to the party, but I agree 110% with what TD has posted. In fact if I wasn't hip deep into the Christmas tree farm right now I'd be posting about my second winter experience with injectors and non-warranty fixing programming right now. You really need IDS to sort out issues and I don't have time to flip injectors 'till Christmas. Archoil 9100 does a great job of smoothing over issues, but I haven't used it since the spring of the year as I wanted to find other marginal injectors this winter.
Tim, does Z live near you? Ive chatted with him before on here and he seems like a super great guy. It sure is nice of him to do what hes offering to do to help me out! Thats what I love about FTE. Lots of good people here.

He lives about 3 miles from me. You need to join the Arkansas chapter if you haven't already. Great bunch of guys and great quarterly get togethers. Several of them live in the Cabot/Vilonia area.
Small worldhuh? Do you happen to know any troopers in your area? I was in a helicopter crash with a guy named Andy Wiley.
I havent made a meeting yet but im going to try too. Thats actually where Z responded to my request for help. I read through the chapter threads quite often but dont say too much. I guess i need to come out of my shell. I met the chapter pres. Jim Kidd at a Wounded Warrior Project event a while back. Hes a great guy? Ive not met anyone in this forum thats not a good person. Everyone is so helpful. Kind of gives me some faith in humanity.

x2. i don't know what it is about nearly all 6.0 owners. Just cut from a different cloth. Totally love the 'faith in humanity' comment and can relate to the sentiment.

Just to follow up on the original question of this thread of whether it was the FICM or injector. A few weeks ago I had replaced dummy plugs and standpipes because of a leak. While in there I pulled all injectors updated orings and cleaned the spool valves on each injector. Buttoned it up and the next thing I knew I had what felt like a miss in 5th gear and once it worked up at idle. I decided to pull the passenger side injectors to check for a pinched oring. Never found one but while I was in there I went ahead and polished the spool valves with my dremmel. When I put them back together, I didn't tighten the nut as tight on the bolt that holds the magnets on the injector. Buttoned it back up and it runs like a new truck. I just wanted to put this out there so maybe someone could learn from my mistake. I'm pretty sure I over tightened that nut the first time. Anyway...truck fixed..for now.
Even running AR9100 #6 STILL isn't cooperating 100%. Cold starts are better with the Atlas 40 (obviously with inductive heat), even with the Atlas 40 it would still miss until warm, but it's gotten better. However, driving to work this morning was the nail in the coffin. It would miss cruising at highway speeds and listening to the noise it makes (very specific, sounds like someone sanding) annoys the crap out of me. If it was something in the harness, I'd know by now, but I'm just going to replace #6 and be done with it.
