Adding Archoil

Adding Archoil
Crazy question. When I got my oil changed in Texas I didn't have Archoil with me. Weather is getting colder and the truck is getting cranky and noisier. It's not as quiet as it usually is with the Archoil in there. I use the 16oz bottle. How do I or do I need to get 16oz of oil out of the truck before adding the Archoil? I sure don't want to mess with the drain plug for 16oz so I'm hoping that there's another answer.
Thanks

One other way. Takes some help but you could pull the oil filter and depress
the drain valve and have you helper crank with a remote starter (BTW KEY OFF)
and use a turkey baster to suck out oil from the filter housing. (This may get messy also).
Starter solenoid connector
Just remember to the key OFF and to be safe pull the FICM relay. It will
only take a few bumps to get the 16oz out.

How full do you normally run it? I try to stay around halfway on the dipstick and wouldn't worry about throwing half a qt in there. Not one bit...
Dealers tend to go high and put 15 qts in, which is usually at the high mark. Then again we were all thinking that our injector issues were from foaming in the crankcase early on.... Maybe I could even go higher now...?
Does anyone think foaming is even an issue (too much oil) anymore???!!!

What you may be concerned about is getting it mixed with the oil before it can get sucked up the pickup. It probably isn't an issue, but I would pour it in while the engine is running, and do it slowly so it has at least a chance to mix a little quicker.
I advise no more than 14 qt oil changes. For a number of reasons.

what is archoil? and what is the difference?
i live in west virginia and we only get 20s usually maybe 10s in the mountains.. if we see 10s, i feel bad for the rest of the west.
i was in north dakota last year, driving my gas pickup, it was -60.... i felt bad for myself let alone my truck... couldnt even start.... i heard diesels are better in the cold, but i hear on here a lot DIFFERENT
seems like diesels are a pain in the As$ in the cold...
will archoil help in my case? or only really for the sub zeros?

Thanks everyone. My thoughts are the same. I don't see any issues with just adding the Archoil without removing some oil. Hopefully we're right. I think they put in 15 quarts. I'll get pics of the level before and after, we'll have to see if anyone can see the difference. My old eyes probably can't.

have you added it? what was the level difference change?
is your truck still running great? quiet down? did you have it running when you did it?
let me know what your process was, i may do the same!
