I don't have any photos of the install, but it is really straight forward. I snagged a chrome dual map light fixture from a junkyard truck and ordered an LED for it from superbrightleds.com. Then I bought a clear lens cover off of eBay. Night and day difference.

wish i would have kept the dome light in my 1977 ford LTD so i could put it in the truck lol. the clear cover is compared to the opaque plastic lens yes:?

Pictured is the clear lens in action with the LED. The photo doesn't really do it justice. Using a cool color temperature bulb with a clear lens makes a night and day difference in the interior lighting.

Nice! I like that even better than what I did, Duke. That clear lens cover will stay clear with the low heat LED bulb, too.

That is what I did many years ago. I think I got the LED and clear lens from LMC back then but I’m not 100% sure.

does it take a t10 like the base model dome? If so, I used a big corn cob one lol!

Anyway, you should install floor lighting now. helps a LOT
