Dome Light Bulb #
What is the bulb type # for the dome light? I swear i've tried 10 bulbs to no avail.

The dome light bulb listed in my '78 owner's manual is a 561. I am assuming it would be the same for the '77, if you are talking about the truck listed in your sig.

courtesy dome light bulb 1979 Bronco
Is the light bulb for a 1979 Ford Bronco dome light also a 561? (I know this an old posting but still need the info)?

Straight dome lamp, yes, 561.
Dome/map lamp combo, dome lamp 211-2, map lamp 105.

I put a clear lens and a LED bulb in mine for under $20 one of the best things I have done to my truck

I have an invisible lense cover. It functions similar to the after market clear lense except you can't see it.

Thank you so much...I will finally be able to see again after dark; I did order a LED one from Amazon but they are saying it is 2 weeks out for delivery so, in the meantime, I guess I need a OEM replacement incandescent..

and it worked fine...I thought I had a problem when I put the lamp in and it wouldn't shut off no mater what I did to the headlight switch...then dummy remembered to close the doors and, viola, it works like it should (been so long since I had a light I was confused)

I had the same problem when I reported mine stolen. The police wanted to know how I knew it was gone .
