Motorcraft?!?

Hey guys, heading out to buy some engine coolant sometime today. What is the best kind to use? I have a 2006 f150 lariat 5.4

I heard to use Motorcraft gold premium 50/50. Is this true?

I would also look in the overflow tank and see what the color is now... Things might have changed in the past 10 years.......... are you going to top it off, or change all to new.

I just purchased the truck so I'm new to everything but I just checked the color and it seems yellowish, I can see all around through the yellow but I'm planning on just topping it off a little bit for the winter

My '07 has the gold too. Sounds like your truck has been maintained with the right stuff. Definitely do not mix types. Use no water except distilled water.

Zerex G05 is the same as the Motorcraft Gold coolant and is correct for your engine. The old style green stuff will do evil things to your cooling system. I use a 50-50 water-G05 mix here in Virginia where the temps rarely go below -10F.
