I don't know what coolant is in the truck now. I am going to have it flushed in a week or so, but noticed yesterday that it is low. I would like to add some until I get it flushed. What should I use. Or should I wait?
Thanks,
Is the Motorcraft gold actually gold in color? LOL, what ever is in there now doesn't look gold. Its just below Min. I'll add some distilled water for now.
Thanks!
The minimum mark is considered the new "full when cold" mark. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.
The premium is gold in color unless an additive has been added, which may make it appear green.
It seems that a lot of people around here insist that green coolant is bad. I only know what I have read here. My coolant was green before I did my flush.

That doesn't make it OK. I'd want to know what was in it. The antifreezez stating good for any vehicle is not good in the 6.0.
I have read that some people think the Premium Gold causes issues, but I don't have proof of that. I have never heard anyone having issues with the CAT ELC. If I were you, I would read as much as you can about the different choices and choose the one you like.
