Here is a great how to on coolant flushing a Triton 5.4 V8. Definately use a 50/50 sollution with distilled water.

Either use the Motorcraft Gold coolant or Zerex G-05. Prestone is not exactly cheap. If you are thinking of going to a green prestone it is step back from either the MC Gold or Zerex.(much longer service life without th esilicate dropout)

Can you use the same ELC that we do in the diesels?
I put the red Shell Rotella in after getting the gold out.

I don't have experience with it so I am not up on the differences. If it is an acceptable replacement for the MC Gold in the 6.0l (which can be hard on coolant) I would say it should work fine in a modular.
