This may be the dumb question of the week? This is my 2008 FX4 Supercrew with the flareside 6.5 bed. The dealership told me that this truck has an unusual combination of options. I have been looking to see if I can spot another one for several years and have not seen a Supercrew with the 6.5 Flareside bed. Share your thoughts or other info. Thanks, Charles
There are several FX4 Supercab's around here with the 6.5 foot flareside beds. All of the Supercrew's in this area seem to have fleetside beds, and most are the 5 foot models. There are even a few standard cab and supercab trucks around here with the long beds, 8 foot I assume? A Supercrew with the 6.5 foot box makes for a long truck, however it handles wonderful and rides nice. In fact the reason that the previous owner, who I know, traded it in. She said that it is just too long. The F-150 does not seem big to me since my other truck is an F-350 crewcab dually with an 8 foot box on it.
Thanks Y'all! I am the third owner, but have known this truck's history since it was just an order. The original owner is a friend of mine who trades F-150's every two years. The second owner is a retired school teacher. Both owners kept the truck in their garages and it had 35k miles on it last November when I bought it. I replaced the original tires last summer, due to dry rot. I had the truck on jack stands the week this photo was taken. I striped the factory grey paint off of the undercarriage, taped up the entire truck and sprayed a thick coating of POR-15 on everything under the truck. Than I sprayed a gloss black top coat over the whole underside. It's as shiny underneath as it is on top.

i came from a leaf-sprung CCLB F-350 myself... my 6.5' SC is a compact sports car by comparison.
Thanks! I bought the 150 for a driver. The F 350 is my good truck. We bought it brand new in 2002. It currently has 57k miles on it. It has the 7.3 PS, 6 Speed stick, 4x4, and has every option available on an XLT.

Nice Trucks! Both of them! Anyway, I've seen a few Super crew Flaresides here and there, but not many. It is uncommon, to say the least. I think about 2008 was the last time they even offered a flareside bed.
