Amazon.com: Innovited AC 35W HID Xenon Conversion Kit - H11 H9 H8 - 6000K - 2 Year Warranty: Automotive
the kit i bought for the ex has a separate harness to go to the battery and a high/lo option. they are a perfect bright white at 6k. diff companies color scales are different. and they are cheap...mine are aimed to the best of my abilities with my lift its a bit tough to get the right angles. my opinion is to buy the above kit. it will do you fine.
I couldn't find any thing about hi/lo option? That is something I am very interested in.

Also, 35watt or 55 watt? Price is right for either

looking back i think i did 9007 bulbs, i believe they are listed with a high low option and my truck already had the 9007 adapter harness as the po put in newer light housings. i believe i did 35 watt.

Do the same bulbs work in the 05 headlights and the 01 headlights? Also what bulbs do the 01 headlights take?

Vince, not sure what bulbs the 01 takes, but the 05-07 are different; harnesses to change are readily available on ebay.

Doc, the 03-04s will bolt right in.

Edit- 99-04 take the 9007 bulbs, 05-07 take 9008 according to dfuser.com

I just installed the ~$100 LEDs pictured on page 3 of this thread. My conclusion? Meh verging on OK. They are better than the stock bulbs but not that much better. They _look_ brighter due to the whiter color and on camera appears brighter but when I had them side by side there really wasn't that much more of the road visible. Low beam focus and cutoff was similar to the incandescent bulbs. High beam was less focused overall and the center point was higher than stock. This could mean problems as it appears that the best low beam adjustment will result in the high beams being too high, throwing more light into just blinding other drivers rather than illuminating the road. Cutting up the bulb locking ring was a minor pain. In addition to the cut out I wound up cracking the hole unit on one side. But it appears to hold the bulb in securely so far.

All in all if the extra cash is no big deal then it is a minor improvement but if you want a material improvement save up for the good HIDs.

Go back and read post #31, sounds like your issue is the placement of the LED's

Check out where the actual filiment of the stock bulb sits in relation to the shield and compare that to where the LED's sit when installed in the headlamp.

You may be able to fiddle with the spacing by making some sort of gasket to go between the bulb socket and headlamp housing.

Having your hi beams pointed up to high is a nuisance to oncoming traffic for sure but since you likely turn them off for incoming traffic the real issue is the light is not going to be where you need it while using them.

But the bigger threat are cows when driving at night in Baja, Most all of Baja is open range and the cows will come lay down in the road for its warmth at night.
I have actually seen the aftermath of excursion vs cow and everything died, people, cow and excursion.

Combine the cows and the undulating roads. ( they build roads nap of the earth rather then graded flat ) and it is a receipt for disaster. there are plenty of road side shrines to remind you.
Yeah cows suck! My brother hit 3 in a row in late 80's T-Bird late at night. Luckily he was doing 90+ and launched them over the car. Last one though took out right hood hinge...and the hood spun around cutting through windshield and just cutting the corner of his mouth. Miracle kid!
