I have 2005 f350 will not shift on the fly. with a vacumn pump it will hold vacumn at both hubs but will not lock up. the seals should be good .help appreciated.
There's 2 parts to the system. The vacuum locking hubs which you are aware and the electronic shift motor side.
Can you hear the motor shifting the transfercase?
Mine wasnt working right. Cheeked for vacuum leaks and everything was good but would have a large leak when 4WD was selected (hvac blend doors would move to defrost ). Replaced the hub control valve and works good now.

here's your research and get back to us. As someone said, turn your A/C on, then swith to 4hi. Does the air then start coming out of the defrost vents?
