2013 6.7 MPG?
Hello, I have been searching for information on MPG from my 2013 F350 6.7 3.55 4x4. It has 60k and 18" wheels. Stock size AT tires. Empty on the interstate going 75 it's getting around 16.5 at best. Pulling an 8k gooseneck horse trailer going 65 it's getting around 9mpg. Everything I had read about these trucks and heard from friends said to expect around 18 on the highway empty and around 12-14 pulling identical trailers. My 2002 F350 with the 7.3 and 3.73, with edge, CAI, and straight pipe gets around 14-16 in the road and 11-12 pulling the same trailer. Does this mileage in the 2013 sound right to y'all? Or should I be looking at something being wrong?
Additionally, what can be done to boost the mileage and not wreck the extended warranty I stuck too much $ into?
Thanks in advance!

my 11 same gearing is getting around 17 avg and 19 or so HWY. Driving conditions and driving habits will play a big factor. Stop and go traffic is not your friend.
Really not much that's going to help aftermarket beyond a delete and that's running the risk of warranty issues. But you can make sure your tires are to correct pressure, tires are in good shape and balanced and rotated. Make sure you have a nice new air filter. These things alone can provide a nice boost.
Also unlock your hubs if you haven't. You could look at a something like a drop in K&N filter some people have luck with those

My 2013 SuperCab 8' 4x4 power stroke is predictable after 22K miles. These numbers are all based on the milage monitor of the vehicle (how reliable is that?). Highway is always at 70 or below. There are not many 80 mph highways on the east coast and I think the speed limit signs are more than a suggestion ;-)
1) empty with LEER on: HWY: Hi 18's City: 17
2) loaded with Truck camper (3200#) HWY: 14 City: 13

I have come to realize that there are a few different ways to tell mileage numbers:
True actual mileage
Embellished
Limited miles driven down hill recorded MPG.
I don't really care about my MPG, I bought a TRUCK that weights in around 9K#. It pulls like a train, drinks fuel like it's going out of style, gets the job done, and makes me smile. I average 9.25 towing our 40' fifth wheels at 70mph and on a good day I can get 13.5 empty @ 70mph. If I keep it under 2K RPM I average the better MPG.
