Alright guys, I need help! I have a 2000 Ranger that I have had and worked on for the past 13 yrs. About a year ago I had a cylinder go bad and since then I have had problems with my brakes. I replaced the cylinder, shoes and drums. About a week later I heard metal and as I pulled off the drum all my hardware and springs fell to the ground. Everything has been replaced but now my adjuster cable keeps coming off the adjuster lever. Sometimes it gets tangled up and causes other damage as well so I have had to replace the adjuster, lever, guide and spring 3 or 4 times now and I'm frustrated. What am I doing wrong??
You may have the wrong adjuster cable, they are different lengths for different size brakes you may have gotten the wrong one or one packaged incorrectly
