The remaining numbers are just the serial number. The other info on the truck should be on a data plate on a glove box door.
The data plate was on the later 1951 trucks (starting in September of 1951.)
If built before that it will have a Rating plate on the glove box door and the rest of the information will be stamped on the firewall. The 18,710 is a borderline number for KC.

Check to see if you can find a series of numbers and letters stamped directly into the upper part of the firewall. That could give you more info about your truck. Post them here if you find them.
Y block wasn't introduced until 1954 in US production, so if your 51 has that engine, it's been transplanted.

The serial number is in the borderline area late Aug / early Sept. but I looked at one of your photos and it appears the glove box had the Rating plate so the stamping should be on the firewall.
Also, check the frame to make sure it has the same SERIAL number
Can anyone tell me the better site(s) to decode the early ford trucks? it seems vinwiz is not real good

What year are you looking to decode? If it's a 1948-56 THIS is the best place, to the best of my knowledge there is no 'site' to decode them, but we have several members with the information available.
