Can someone tell me or show me a picture of how the VIN plate is mounted in the driver door.
Is the FORD script in fron or back?

Not sure if its the same for previous years but mine (53) is mounted on the glove box door as shown.

 

A little more info would help, what year model?

 

Soory..did not think there would be a difference.
My new rig is a 56 F100.
And they are located on the cab door hinge side. Needed to know if they had the ford logo on the inside or outside> Wondered if you are suppose to be able to read the numbers and logo down from standing outside the door?

 

Mine was mounted on the A pillar so that you could read it while standing outside the truck. Reading left to right is actually top to bottom.

My 56 F100 has the plate mounted with the Ford script towards the outside of the cab. When the driver's door is open all the way you can stand outside the truck and read the writing on the plate easily.
