rear cab mounts

I know this has been beat to death... and I've read every post...looked at every picture and still can get things together

mine looks just like the picture but things don't want to line up

my question is... does the rubber bushing go in the frame bracket with the big end up or the little end up ???... can't seem to make it either way... I'm almost tempted to leave them out...

hep me !!

I'm going with the adjustable kind, then I think I can put them anyway I want to.

They should only fit one way. There is actually two little metal tabs on the upper frame mount that they fit between on the frame mount (one holds the top in place and one holds the bottom). When I took my old arm off it was hard to even see the old one stuck up in there, but there it was so check your old one may still be in place. Then once you get the new rubber (it's called a snubber) I used a bottle jack along with a floor jack to line up the bolt holes. I just put a link on the bottle jack in the tips and tricks sticky. By the way the Dennis Carpenter catalog has the best pick of how the parts go together. If you need it PM me and I can scan it in this thread for you. Here are picks of how the snubber fits in relationship to the arm, and then you can see the top of the snubber peeking out from behind the top of the frame arm. It's a tight fit I used some silicone spray. I hope this helps.

The profile looks different. It's like the notch is on the wrong side of the bumper.

The notch is to clear the top weld-nut inside the bracket.

thanks Ken

that's the first picture that showed the orientation of the bumper... that's what I wanted to see... I apologize for my crude sketches...
