This morning, I sold a 94 Pathfinder through Craigslist to someone who came to pick it up with a serious F350 SD gooseneck flatbed trailer rig. As we were shootin' the bull (pun intended), He saw my 84 and commented that he had a few of them. After a few beers (it's noon somewhere), he said that he still had some interior parts up in the loft of his barn from about 15 years ago from an 85. Turns out, he had everything except the door panels and seat in tan. He paid me 3/4 of my asking price in cash and asked if he could return with the balance. I agreed (gut feeling). Larry (the buyer), returned an hour and half later with not only the balance of the money but..... a near perfect complete XLT instrument panel/dash/cluster with pad, all of the interior trim panels except the doors, as well as seat belt components, a headliner, a floor mat and visors. JAW DROP !! He said "take it...You'll make good use of it" JAW DROP #2 ! I promptly said we need to barter but...he said: nope, put it to good use, and drove off...Speechless.
Ok Lowpala. You got the talking part down. Lets see a dash pad recovered.
It's on the to do list. I will for sure post it when I'm finished. This weekend was project fix some ghetto body work and build new rain gutters, smh.. some people. Why would you shave off the thing that keeps the water out?! Trying to get her ready for paint before winter.
I'd love to see a recovered dash pad. Seeing as the biggest problem in my eyes with my truck is the dash pad. Mines not fixable though
smilts,
When I find parts for the 1980-1986 trucks, if any part is better than what is currently on my truck, I make the swap and consider it as an upgrade. Last week, I was picking parts from a 1986 F150 and saw that the dash pad was still there. It had some cracks [mine does not], so I left it. However, it was in much better condition than the one you have. The guy that owns it is a friend of mine and is very reasonable to work with. If interested, PM me and I will give you his contact information. He can send photos to you.
