someone replaced the old engine in my 69 cs. it used to be a 352? according to lmc my vin no. is f25yrd83268. is the 352 a good engine and are they easy to find? i am just couriouse, i rebuilt the 390 about 30 yrs ago and loaned the truck to a friend who used to race people with it. he found out the c6 will downshift into second at 80 mph, will that hurt anything?

The last year for the 352 was 1967, your vin number says it came with a 360. The 352 was a good engine but it seems most people prefer the 390. I wouldn't think that 80 in second would be a good idea.

A Y code is a 360. Why don't you measure the stroke to verify what you have installed??? After 269 posts I would think that would have been done by now.

I'm not even gonna comment on loaning out your wallet so a friend can have the fun of racing it on your dime. Your call.

no he is not my friend anymore. he left his wife and three kids for another woman and took her name for his last name. i am probably going to go through the engine again althogh it doesn't smoke or use oil or rattle but i am going to get another transmission. what is trolling? i have been accused of it and i don't know what it is.

When I was a kid, trolling was a method of catching fish, since the internet did exist then and the term didn't pertain to an action to irritate others --other than maybe fish.

I think it has a double meaning in that you can fish for attention by saying jerky things (verb) and just be plain ol nasty to people, like a bridge troll (noun).

I reckon I'm daft in the head then. I took as muddling around listening in on peoples secrets and using them for my personal gain. Kind of like I do here on FTE.

Don't worry about it. Chalk it up to others being hypersensitive.

Why don't you ask whoever it was who accused you? Was it in a thread? Did he PM you? Sometimes people get the wrong idea.
