Your still gonna have to patch the door, what about a hole saw a pinch bigger than the pung?
I wasn't gonna patch the holes. My truck is all original one owner and it's the original paint. It's got beautiful patina here and there so I buffed it and clear coated it.
My thought was to clean the area good and either try and find a nylon bolt with round head the size or stainless steel. I don't really ever wanna paint her.
So that's on the agenda for Sunday.. Thank you very much for how it worked. That was a huge help.
Apologies for hijacking the thread and I'm hoping there are still some of you that are still active with it.
Bought some new doors for the Hulk and decided I'm going to use the mirrors off the new ones and replace the "school bus" ones I currently have on. The new mirrors are the Type 7 ones off the handy chart that was posted earlier on in the thread. Taking them off the doors prior to respraying and I've snapped the bolts running through the bearings(?) at the top bracket. Tried hammering out the threads but all seems to be part of a single assembly?
Does anyone know if it's possible to get these separately? They're used on the Type 9 brackets so would have thought they could come separately. So far I've only been able to find the Type 9 brackets and mirrors as a complete set and I don't want to order all that as I think the mirrors I've got look much better. Also tried at jy but all examples were in poor shape.
