As we all know that dpace in a pick up truck is at a premium I wanted to find a spot to put things not used all the time (I.e) tow straps, chains. I think I found a spot just in front of thr right rar tire. So I made a box 21" long x 13"wide x8" high and mounted to the bed support rails. This is what I get.
There is enough space for me to put straps in and lock the box.
My kind of box, great to hide the extra goodies needed for a truck while not having a full blown tool box in the bed.
The way I have the box made is if you don't know its there you can't see it. The bedside hides the side and end and the plastic piece between the tire and the wheel well hides the door. It opens up about 4 to 6 inches just enough to put in small to medium sized things.
