Water contamination. Drain completely, clean as best you can and refill with new gear oil.

I did... the werrrr sound is still there but not as bad.. the only issue now is i think the sludge was masking the sound of something else... when I go into a right curve, I hear a poping sound like gravel coming loose hitting the fender or cab. The sharper the curve, it stars to sound like pea gravel... left hand curves, no sound at all. With the window you cannot hear it.. only when the windows are up.

You may have damaged bearings now, you could rebuild it but a complete axle swap may be cheaper.

I thought about putting in a new/used rear but I have never messed with rears other than an oil change. Dont know if it will make a difference but it only started to have the gravel sound with the bed fully loaded with a stove and about 400lbs of other stuff..

Swapping a rear isn't that bad the worst part is that you have to bleed the whole brake system afterwords.

Any place that has the whole assembly already rebuilt? What year 8.8 f150 rears are interchangable?

Well the right side axle is leaking.. on jackstands you can hear a slight pop/click.. when you cut the truck off in drive you can hear it goes wa wa wa errrrrr gerrrrrrrrrrcraunk.. spining the driveshaft by hand with the truck off you hear a rusty squeak sound inside the trans and feel it in the pan... I need a match and about 10 gallons of gas...

Any year F150 or Bronco 8.8 axle is a direct bolt-in right from whenever they switched from the 9"(1982 maybe) up to 1996.

Maybe part of the noise is the U-joints.
Check them for backlash and replace if bad, grease them if they seem okay and have fittings.

what Conanski said is correct. just make sure the gear ratio is same as what your current rear end has in it
