Yes I have, last month I bought a idler pulley, tensioner pulley and belt for my new to me 03 F150, but I've been buying from them for a few years without any problem so far but you have to have the time to get the parts.

No real update.
I requested the long block, the dealer requested the long block, but Ford has sent a short block.
Only update is they are having trouble getting a new valve cover and don't want to put the original one back on as they say that is what caused the problem. Apparently part is back-ordered.

Regarding the pcv valve-- tech doing the repair said Ford didn't use one on this generation of 6.2 and that is the root of the problem. Once complete I will get paperwork and upload.

Its a major pain in the a$$ trying to pull everything out of a 9' service body and cram in to an 8' regular truck bed.

thanks for the help and sound advice.

Not really. Waiting on parts. Looks like the last part has a release date of early next week. Dealer said they thought it would be complete by late next week. Ford has been mia on this but Preston Ford has been very good to work with...they have offered to make this months payment and given me an extremely nice loaner. 2013 250 diesel lariat package.... AC seats sheesh.

FWIW- after driving the 6.2 for 6900 miles, man the diesel has some power. wow.

Yeah.... the diesel power is really impressive. It causes testosterone-related brain fog issues. I really don't need a diesel but was all set to buy one ... until my wife told me in no uncertain terms that I would be exclusively sleeping in the truck if I bought a diesel.

I went and found this thread I remembered reading it a couple months ago.
What's the point? This is why I check my oil once a week.
I still wonder if something can go wrong where the motor starts sucking in its oil.....scary thought.

I wonder how this turned out for the OP? And if anyone else has heard of this happening in other 6.2 motors?

Just another unresolved thread with no conclusion. Not the first and won't be the last. In the meantime.... check your fluids.

I am in NO way familiar with the PCV system on the 6.2l's, but since I am looking at a left over NEW 2015 F250 with the 6.2L I clicked on the thread.

Something to offer concerning a malfunctioning PCV that happened to one of my vehicles (2.5L Suzuki V-6). The valve cover had a metal sheet tack welded into the top, underside of the valve cover. Behind the tack welded piece, the valve cover had a maze system forged into it. Engine vapor would get sucked into the baffled maze area, condense back to liquid, then drain out via two small dimpled drains in the metal sheet.

On this particular generation of V-6 engines, they were bad about carbon forming. This was partly due to the oil of that time (Early 2000's). Remember Toyota having a real BIG problem with their V-6 engines forming large carbon deposits? A customer service nightmare.

On mine, the oil drains (2) clogged up with carbon (from lack of frequent oil changes) and the oil would fill up the baffled area and get sucked up into the PCV line feeding directly into the engine. My vehicle (2003 Chevy Tracker) would blue/white smoke like crazy on cold start up.

Don't ask me why I felt the need to bore you guys with this, just hoping to pass along some useful info

Ive been looking to replace my 6.0 had it for 11 years, 290,000 miles, wow! Looking to go back to gas so which brought me to this thread.

Ive been talking with my mechanic about the 6.2l, the main issue he see's is that oil pump on 6.2l has a thin metal backing plate on the pump and when the engine is run hard under load and everything gets hot the plate deflects slightly and loose oil pressure from the pump and oil does not make it to the top of the engine and causes overheating issues and engine failure because oil is not making it to the top of the engine. Kinda sounds like the issue with the pcv issue. I dont know if Ford has changed this or not. There are some re manufactured engines that put on more of an heavier steel plate that seams to correct this from happening.

Also there are whats called self cleaning oil screen filter in the engine about 30 or so that collect sludge and can become clogged restricting oil flow if not taken care of.

Does anyone else know any more about this issue?
