tailgate latch assembly

does anyone have a diagram or a picture of the tailgate latch assembly? took mine apart years ago and found most everything with the acceptation of the nylon locking pieces. the rods that i have don't look like they are the right ones though. ( have hooks at both ends ) if they are correct how do they attach to the latch itself ? thanks in advance.

No pics, but your setup sounds like mine. You can get the nylon/plastic locks from the help section at the AP store. They come in assortments... may take two packages to do the tailgate.

Hopefully somebody will post a pic to help.
