94 single belt system on a 91 triple belt?

Okay, so I've been on here before diagnosing problems with my 94 7.3 idi. Long story short it threw a rod and needs rebuilding, or the route I decided to go, a drop in motor. I bought a 7.3 out of a 91 250. 180000 miles. No turbo. I plan on replacing all gaskets, putting the turbo from my 94 on, and eventually dropping it in. The question I have is this: The 91 Idi was set up with a three belt pulley system, my 94 had a single belt system, much easier to mess with. Is it possible to switch over pulleys and/or alternator/water pump, and whatever else from my 94 onto the 91? I think the water pump is interchangeable, the alternator doesn't appear to be, and I'm not sure about pulleys. Any info is appreciated.

Yes I also posted this in the 93-97 150-350 section.

sure can. the blocks are the same, so you just use the parts with serpentine belt pulleys and mounting brackets from the 94 block on the 91 block

alternator pulley will swap over.
use an impact on the nut.

AC compressor, not so much, gotta swap compressors, or get the AC delete pulley
New Dorman A C Delete Pulley AC Compressor Bypass for 93 97 Ford Diesel Truck | eBay

everything else swaps over.
remember, there are 2 styles of serp systems.
and the only difference is the tensioner...
so make sure you have, or get the correct one
one is an open spring design, the other is a closed spring.

Um, why not just swap all the brackets, accessories, etc. from the retired engine to the donor?

that is what i suggested in post #2. just use everything serpentine from the 94 block on the 91 block.
by doing this, he will also stay with the 94's better alternator instead of the older alternator the 91 came with.

Um, the connectors will be different on the accessories of the _donor_ engine. If s/he's using the accessories of the _retired_ engine, the connectors WON'T be different. That's all the _more_ reason to go with tjc's recommendation.

Also, remember that tearing all the accessories off and reinstalling them isn't a big job. Took me half a day the first time. And you basically have to do it when pulling the engine anyway.

Awesome well that's what I was hoping for. I'd like to swap everything I can over from the 94 if for no other reason than the 3 years difference in age etc. I've already tore the 94 apart (found the thrown rod) so now I just hope I can remember how it was assembled in order to somewhat duplicate it on the 91.. I had just replaced the water pump on my 94 about 10000 miles ago or so, so I'll reuse that and replace the gasket, also plan on swapping oil pans, valve covers (moves some stuff around for the turbo), maybe injection pump? Being the lazy American I am I'd like to keep my cruise control so I'm not sure what I've gotta do there yet. I'll be replacing the rear main, possibly the intake manifold and gasket? not sure if that's worth my trouble yet.. I'll swap fans as there was some fin damage to the 91 when pulling from the donor truck. Replace injecotor O-rings, replace all the old worn fuel line, probably order new GPs, as far as alternator connectors and other accessories go, I'd like to swap I just need to find a 94 diagram so I know what I'm doing.
Anyway that's where I'm at, any other tips are welcome.
Thanks

My understanding of the Cruise Control system is that it's just a second cable that pulls on the throttle lever. The other pieces -- servo module, computer, sensor etc -- are all in the body of the truck and not on the engine.
Just make sure that cable is hooked up and it should work.
