I would guess that you should probably get the rest of the advertised drop as time goes on & the suspension settles, but it might be at max drop. I've been looking to see what amounts of drop were available without going to drop beams or axle flips.
I've had the 92 GT since 95 (ORIGSIN), the 94 since 06 (SCNDSIN).
And it worked out that both are porno red inside, although a bit faded by now. Thanks for the complement.
"Porno red"... Hmmm, never heard of that shade.
On a more serious note,I to am hoping it does settle a little bit, but I'm not too optimistic about that.
If I were to do it over again I would go with an axle flip instead.
I haven't seen (here) where anybody has done an axle flip on a 9th gen without using drop beams as well to get a proportional front/back drop. That's why I was curious about what you were doing with just springs & shackles.
Porno red is the disparaging shade as described by the folks at Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords for the scarlet cloth interior option on Foxes for years. I wanted gray, charcoal or blue when I went hunting for both vehicles. But it never worked out & changing complete interiors on both is not realistic. So I've kinda' embraced it.
An axle flip will typically get you about 5 inches of drop from what I've read and seen. I have also seen 3" drop coils, (don't know how you can get the camber back into spec with that much coil drop) however,if it's possible, then you would have a truck that would sit pretty even since these truck all sit about 2" higher in the back to begin with.
