Occasional hard pull to right under braking, cannot diagnose. Help?

If I brake hard a dozen times, 8 or 9 will be normal, a couple times it will pull to the right but as long as your hands are on the wheel you can barely tell, and maybe once it will pull really hard. I have Hawk super duty pads and Ebc rotors with less than 5k on them and I just replaced the front calipers and hardware because I thought that was the problem.

I have no idea Wtf is wrong now. It's not even consistent. Could possibly be rear calipers (rear also has new Hawk pads and Ebc rotors with less than 3k on them) but I don't think it would pull that hard. Any other suggestions? Tire pressure is even between sides btw.

Did you replace the soft lines to the calipers?

Yes, it can be coming from the rear and most likely is...BUT to through in a twist it can also be your brake lines (hoses) are weak and tired. One of the best brake mods are replacing and going with braided hoses.

Factory hoses are still in good shape. I am skeptical that it would cause occasional pulling like this. If I let go of the wheel, as it comes to a stop it will actually rotate the wheel a turn.

My father in law said his one ton Chevy dump truck that was pulling really hard because of a collapsed hose so maybe I'll change them. Don't wanna be changing a ton of stuff just in case.

Check air pressure in tires, check rear brakes, both are free to look at.... If all calipers are working well, it's a good chance its the hoses.

But I understand about just throwing parts at it

I just did the rear brakes at the beginning of summer and they were good then and I bled them today and they seemed ok.

I had a similar problem..replaced with powerslot calipers, EBC green stuff brakes...and russel braided lines...No more problems and brakes better than it ever has.

I went through something like this last summer (I think) and mine ended up being a bad caliper, the one piston was all destroyed and sometimes it was grab and release goofy. Good luck getting it figured out...

The powerslot branded calipers are just parts store rebuilds with red paint on them. So at this point I've done everything you have and more except change the hoses. And I just bought a pair of those this evening although I drove the truck today and it felt ok. I'll change them and hopefully it will solve it for good.

You are correct, but for 103 a pair and no core charge, and me being lazy...I just replaced them...I already have slotted rotors so just had them cut. Just finished up the rear with new rotors, brakes, and finished up with the three rear braided lines...work great. The slight pull I had is gone and brakes feel so much better.

Changed the hoses today. Didn't drive it much afterwards but on the test drive it was braking dead centered. I could take my hands off the wheel and dive on the brakes and it tracked perfectly straight, which I don't think it's really done in quite some time, so hopefully that cures it.

The good part from this exercise is that I bled all four corners and got some really nasty looking black fluid out of there and replaced it with valvoline synthetic, and also that I slathered the pads in antisqueal (ran out last time) and got rid of an annoying speak.
