Od light flashing

I currently have 03 Eddie bauer expedition 5.4 v8 4x4 . Last year Od started flashing on dash. Then check engine light came on. Took it to tranny shop. Put new transmisson in and solenoids in as well as internal harness. Ran great. For about 11 months no problems. The other day light came on again. Replaced shift solenoid. And light keeps coming on. If I let it sit and cool down I can reset with code reader. Fine for awhile then light comes back on once it heats up again. Not real consistent! Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance. Tranny shop thinks it is a wiring harness issue. Any idea where to get one?

Has the wiring to the tranny been inspected for little critter chew marks?

Nothing is equivalent. Ford doesn't sell harnesses. The normal method is to locate the problem and repair the issue.

You'll need a harness from a 03 expedition 5.4 v8 4x4. Nothing else is going to be the same, though some others may be similar.

Hey Mark thanks, that is what I was thinking after spending a couple of hours looking at several junked expeditions.I do have another couple questions. I climb under it tonight after trying to clear code to no avail. After taking the wiring harness apart on passenter side of transmisson and spraying it with elect. contact cleaner and monkeying around with other 2 connecterst on driver's side. I was able to clear the code. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hey Mark drove it 50 miles. No lights on. Went to stop at stop sign od and check engine light came on. Drove the rest away to work.Let sit 2-3hrs. Started it up check engine on. Reset and no lights on. Could this be a transmission speed sensor issue?

No, it cannot be a speed sensor. There is no way a speed.senor can set a solenoid code.
