Can someone please help me locate the MAP Pressure/sensor line that plugs into the bottom of the intercooler spider? I just got done doing the uppipes and I disconnected it and now I can find it! I never thought that it would be so hard to find during the install, where could it have gone right? I need to know where it originates so I can trace it down. Thanks!
Look to the left by the AC lines. There should be a little black box (MAP Sensor) with an electrical connector AND another line with wire loom. It's held on by two small torx screws. That other line should be the other end of your MAP line.
If you google something like "powerstroke 7.3 map sensor" you should be able to find a photo of it.
Right next to that red wrap of tape, you will see an open nozzle - that's where your MAP line is supposed to connect. I bet your truck runs like hell.
No, actually it run pretty Damn good now! I never started it before I plugged it in. After I find out what it was I knew I had to figure it out first. I must have spent 10 minutes looking directly at it without realizing that it was what I was looking for. Lol, actually my buddy just popped his head up there and points it out right away. He also found a bolt I was looking for too. I was pretty wiped out at that point. Laying across that engine for the better part of two days took it out of me.
I was just thinking what would happen if it drove without that, then I noticed the tip wasn't corroded. I take it you did something under the valve covers or with the turbo?
