Right now I'm using Vivian's looney wild tune from quicktricks.
I like it, but it's a little smokey and shifts a little hard at times.
Soon I'm going to order SRL extreme from gearhead.
I've heard a lot of good things about it.
hey guys just wondering if anyone runs a 100hp tune with no problem of course my truck is studded but what else could it hurt?
You need digital gauges, your exhaust/turbo can get real hot quick, so egt probe for sure. Ans as long as your not doing power braking! I use the slr+ except when towing and its a great tune, by matt

I asked that the smoke control was tight, sent it back because it was smokey and it was pretty clear after that. Shifts were OK, but the truck learned around the shifting so it's been a daily driver tune for about a year.
8K tow is pretty good, great shifts, no smoke that was noticeable, however power is down from the SLR+
I recently went to the SLR Extreme, shifts are good, power is great, mileage is about the same as SLR+ (15+ in town, 20+ on highway), but its noticeably smokey. I'm also running the Atlas 40 on top of this tune, was also running it with SLR+ and it was smokey if you stab it, but if I ease into it, barely a puff, more a haze.
But when I stab it... you get big clouds of smoke from the tires and exhaust! I will say the black smoke clears pretty fast as the turbo catches up.... maybe I need a bigger turbo
I spoke with the guys over at GearHead about EGTs. I have no gauge currently. They told me as long as you have a bigger exhaust, the tunes actually run cooler than stock EGTs. Maybe it's that they spread the burn out over a period of time.

You need to get that egt probe to verify that. I've seen 1500 degrees f during wide open runs after 100 mph...

I'm running the 8K tune and at WOT it will run the EGT's up past 1250 where on a stock tune it would hit 1100's.
Where it runs cooler is the regular driving and cruising. I noticed with criuse set @ 65mph it's approximately 100 degrees cooler.
