Ditto here. What is the Atlas 40 tune? My FICM is working great now but when it comes time to replace/ repair mine would like to have some more knowledge about them. Thanks
Damn
I wish i had learned of this when i had Ed repair my FICM last december (bought the 2 year warranty), i like the sound of that Atlas 40 tune or at least the Eco tune since i do pull over 8k at times & have an Edge programmer...
P.S....He does great work though, still see a constant 48-49 volt's
please let me know how well it works for you. I am running the same truck setup as you. thanks and good luck
Just wanted to let you know that I installed my FICM from Ed on New Years Day and boy am I happy! I haven't towed with it yet, but I can say that the throttle response is amazing compared to the old factory ficm. I think the transmission shift points feel firmer as well, could just be me. I'm not out drag racing or anything, but I have no problem at all getting up to speed when the lights turn green. I didn't have any trouble replacing the ficm either, maybe 30-45 minutes tops.

When Ed repaired mine I didn't have the bucks for the Tune and he said I could send it back anytime for the tune. But I'm so happy with the Basic Repair I'm going to keep it
I did both as well, Atlas40/Ficmrepair, I love it as well. What I like best is HOW EASY it is to get better fuel economy, drive easy, and I'm up in the 18-19 mpg range on winter fuel. I towed my son's Superduty across the Blue Ridge and got 15 mpg! And the throttle response is better, the truck shifts sooner, it's a win-win!
