Got a pic of how the maps looks (or better, a quick video of that maps app in action)?! I like the of using the HU's turn by turn rather than fiddling with my phone, and if that offline app works great like you say, i think that'd be the way to go, unless one feels the need to pay for/tether their phone, to use Google maps.
definitely ordering this radio, this thread is enough research into android HU's for me to decide to go with this model. For the price, the features seem endless, and sounds like it'll put my ole reliable pioneers to shame!

Yeah, I was sold pretty quickly too, I am eventually installing one. He did mention he was going to add another video in more detail, but it you go the link I posted in the first page of this thread he did a little didactic.
Or check out this quick overview made by joying: youtube joying android head units - Bing Videos
Cool I'll check that out. I just installed Sygic on my phone too, tomorrow I'll mess around with it when im in the car.
From a car audio view of things, does anyone know the head unit's pre-out voltage for the amp outputs? I can't find it on their site, if its a really crappy value (I doubt it is) that may make me need to look for a different brand HU. But again I'm sure it's got decent preouts. Reason i wanna know is because ill be hooking up amps to it for my mids and highs.

Get on the joying website on open up their chat feature with them, they answered a bunch of questions I had the other day.
Disregard. Found it. Its 2V...i was kinda hoping for 4V at a minimum...I'm gonna check into the other Joying models (there's some newer ones) larger screens also, etc.
Can't wait to order one for my excursion and one for the f350...hopefully a few weeks and funds will allow. Dying to mess with all the features these things offer!
I went with this one since it has a volume ****. One thing Ive found in all this is tapping/swiping to change volume doesn't work as well for me. Amazon has it, but even with prime its still "estimated 3-7 day shipping". I ordered ordered direct from joying and it has already left Ohio. If DHL does Saturday delivery, and can get to Virginia quick enough it is possible I could have it tomorrow. This has got to be the fastest I've gotten anything from Hong Kong.
