Yes. J1850 PWM is our protocol, and I set that as the default instead of allowing the system to search. I want my device to connect to the truck right now... not leisurely meander through the list of possible vehicles it can connect to.

Perfect, that makes sense to my meandering brain... now for me, the bigger problem is that there is no power to the OBD2 port? As well as no power to the cigarette lighter, and replacing the fuse did not remedy that. I also connected another scan tool I have laying around ( Super chips Mini) to the port as a rule out, but still no connection was made, but it did connect to the ambulance I referenced before. So I am trying to chase why this is...

Check connectors and wires under the dash. I have found a disconnected wire (came out of the back of the connector before when I lost power to something (I forget now). Had to steal a spare pin and re-terminate it.
