1947 Vin Decode

Can you please help me decode my 47 vin 799c19s4315

47 FORD

I"m trying to find where the vin #'s would be at on the frame, if anyone can help me I would appreciate it.

I thought that thing was "stickied" at the top. The serial number is on the left front side of the frame, under the hood and in front of the steering gear box. You will have to scrape and or wire brush to see it. They were applied by drunken monkeys and are not always that legible or correct to the vehicle. It will be a star symbol some numbers and maybe a letter or two and then another star. If you have the original transmission, it is also on the top of the bellhousing and much easier to read.
