Which VIN for Bonded Title Application

Earlier this year I bought a '53 F100 from a classic auto dealer near Dallas that did not have a title so it was sold with a Bill of Sale. I am now applying for a Bonded Title and went to look for the VIN and found that my glove box tag differs from my frame VIN. No big surprise on a 60 year old vehicle, but I need to know which number I need to submit to the state of Texas for my Bonded Title.

I would use the one on the body. Who ever checks for the vin on the frame!? I would smooth out the old vin number and then restamp the matching vin on the frame if it comes down to being a hassle.

Yeah. I contacted the DMV this morning and ran both numbers to make neither came up as stolen. They are both good. And they said to use the full VIN located in the cab. I just wanted to make sure before putting any time and money into this project.

Thx
