Link above is a small video on how the truck idles from a cold start. I'm applying no throttle just letting truck idle to normal temp which is when it starts to act up. I am aware of the small ticking sound (exhaust leak) lol You can fast fwd to 3:15 when it starts acting up
You are getting battery voltage at the main lead into the dizzy, right?

Most any "all in one" dizzys will call for HEAVY wire relayed directly to the unit. (Skip White says 10Ga.)
There's no way the stock harness is going to supply this.
Well this being my 1st carb vehicle I'm still learning the ropes on tweeting with a distributor, so you're saying I need a larger gauge power supply to the distributor?
Did you read the install instructions that came with the distributor?
I'm only familiar with the DUI and Skip White.
Both say you need a 30A fused connection in run & start.
Update: After some extra troubleshooting found out that the actual Distributor shaft that is turned by the gear was seized up. I actually had to get a rag & hand turn the gear. I honestly don't know how the truck even turned on with this issue. Installed new Proform Distributor & turned right over no issues.
