Barely! This whole moving experience was a disaster. There was far more damage than I ever expected, turns out the clowns who packed and loaded things in Connecticut didn't give a crap about any of it.
The crew that was unloading today were great, but their help fell through so it was just the two of them. They were here until 10:30, and for the last couple hours they were just stacking stuff in the garage. We'll be sorting things out for the next couple weeks.

That sucks about the damage. The movers have insurance to cover that?
It's Friday but I have dive training tomorrow.......so it's not really Friday. A bit chilly last night hopefully the sun warms things up. I am not ready for cold!

Yeah, presumably. I need to submit the claims online through a certain site because this is a government contracted move.
The tough one is going to be my motorcycle. When the movers came a few weeks ago my bike was in pieces waiting on the wheel to be trued and balanced. The rear gearcase was sitting on a shelf and wasn't supposed to be packed. They packed it, and I pulled it out of the box the following evening to put the bike back together. It had been dropped, and there's quite a crack in the housing. I'm worried because it went back on the bike which I trailered out here, and that's a $900 part. So we'll see how this all goes.
My window air conditioners weren't wrapped, one rode out here sitting perched on a box directly on the condenser coil. The dryer had heavy stuff packed on top of it and the top is dented in, one bookshelf completely collapsed under all the stuff it was under, and a bunch of other stuff was dinged up. The company who loaded and hauled it away was also responsible for loading it onto the truck on Monday.
So other than that we're happy to have our stuff. It'll take some time for us to get everything back to normal, my wife is a borderline hoarder with all of her craft stuff.

Good morning Tom! That sucks. Hope it all works out in the end.
