OEM Headlight Connector
Does anybody sell an OEM style headlight connector for an '84 F250? The locking tabs disintegrated in the plastic part. The terminals no longer lock into the plastic housing.
NAPA (and others) carry a universal replacement connector. To avoid splicing the wires, I was hoping to remove the new pigtail terminals and swap the existing metal terminals into the new plastic housing, but they won't fit. The terminals are just a hair too wide.
I know I can splice the factory wires to the new pigtails, but I'd like to avoid the extra splices if at all possible.
Thanks for any help.
If only online, by time you add in shipping you're probably better off just buying the pigtail and removing the wires from the socket.
Or better yet, accept the situation as a sign that it's time to redo your headlights with a new harness made from 12ga wire connected to two relays (one for high one for low beam) triggered by your existing wires.
Your headlights will love you for it.
You know what the connector looks like and you know the number of wires, so you can look it up.

Hope that helps.

It's not an exact match, as the original one had a small slot on the side of each cavity. Each terminal had a corresponding tab sticking out. If I were to trim these tabs, the connector might work.
For ordering, which part number works best? Is it the 3USZ...? I searched online for each number, and got all sorts of varied results. Is there a Motorcraft secret decoder guide I can use? If so, could somebody please be so kind as to point me to a link?
At the moment, this may be a moot point as I figured out a decent workaround. The connector basically just holds the three terminals together, and make sure each one goes on the correct tab on the back of the headlamp. Unlike most connectors, this one has nothing to do with locking the terminals to the headlamp. As I was hesitant to splice in a new pigtail on a high-current wire, I simply installed each wire individually without the connector, making sure to get each wire in the right place. Perfect? No. Adequate? Thoroughly, and it should work fine like this as long as I pay attention to the wire location the next time I change the bulb.

$33 is just stupid, unless maybe you're doing a concours restoration.
They are a female H4 connector, you could do a complete harness upgrade with marine wiring and ceramic connectors for less than $33.
I've got all the parts right in my garage.
