Pulling right front axle?

Pulling right front axle?
I'm about to remove the right front axle to replace seals. I've torn it down to the hub carrier (with the hub bearing unit removed) and I can't pull the axle out. It feels like it's hung up on something soft, like another seal somewhere inside the axle tube. What am I doing wrong?

If you have everything off down to and including the hub bearing unit then all you are missing is a good pull. I generally stick a pry bar in the u joint area and use that for leverage. There is no c clip holding the axle in the center.
