I have dual straight pipe exhaust running out the back of my truck. The other day one decided to break off of its bracket and is sitting a couple inches lower then the other. I tried to tack weld it but it broke again after hitting a couple bumps.
It is rattling and sounds cheap and i don't want something worse to happen. I.E rub a hole in it etc
Is there a new bracket or something i could buy and install myself to hold it back in place? Or what would be other options
i've used hangers like this with pretty good success.
not the sexiest way to hang an exhaust pipe, but it usually works.
used in conjunction with a regular u-type muffler clamp.
this is also why i've all but given up on custom exhausts. they just never seem to last.
(although, i have to admit .. i REALLY want to change the muffler on my expedition, but leave the rest of it alone)
I had a Stainless MBRP system on my previous truck that held up nicely the 8 years I had it, and I'm running the Borla-S now. Super nice and very easy install.
