Well that's what happens when you don't do your known mods......yep another Powerstroke down. MINE! Guess it going to get the full treatment, when I find the time.
I've got to get a parts list together,I wonder how much that plate is going to be.I've got the oil cooler and EGR delete that was suppose to go on 2 months ago and the STC fitting would have been done at that time. but as the old saying goes .....stuff happens.

Well CRAP! I have my tool box loaded down with parts and that's one of them... I guess I need to quit procrastinating!
Really sorry to read this... Try to get the plate on order, sometimes they are w-a-y on back order, and that would put the project on hold. I'd try Tousley or White Bear whatever their name now is.... They do a big volume and prices are good enough if not the best, so hope they have them ready to ship....
If you haven't done it, I suggest you do it. I got a feeling I'm going to need a branch tube assembly too. If I got the numbers right in my head it will be a grand in parts. It sucks because I got transferred at work to a different department and I'm not going to be able to figure out the time frame to fix this along with the other crap I got going on. I know the wife isn't too happy cause she said sell it............that didn't make it any better either, nothing like getting kicked in the nads when your down.
I was accellerating on to a highway from a on ramp, about 10 or 14 pounds of boost it hic uped and I was getting off a mile later on the exit ramp it stalled. I coasted to a stop about 3/4 of a mile from home. AAA picked me up about 45 mins later and in the mean time before that me and my wife had a "few" words, I hadn't had a good day. I was nice untill she said fix it and sell it, then I snapped and let her have it.
I hear ya. Pretty rough at work here too, I do wish I had done mine when I did the delete but just got in too much of a time crunch (but still should have done it.) One thing I've gotten lucky with is the wife, she'll get frustrated with the time and money I spend with the truck but I don't think she would let me sell it. I told her I could make 5 to 7 grand if I sold it and she said NOPE--you've spent too much time on it, you know where it stands and if you bought another you might not get as lucky with it. I do agree with her in that point.
I have guy that I deal with that dismantles service trucks and ambulances.
I know that he has some back plates. Let me know if you want his info and
we can see if you can get it for less. He has one from an E-series for $20.00
plus the shipping. The question is will that one work in a F-series.
If not I can see if he has one from a F-series.
