Comes off the pass side positive terminal. Then crosses over engine and down driver side. Also in pic #3 what is this connection my finger is pointing at.It's just off the pass battery. Thanks for any help.
That red wire is for some form of an accessory, it's not factory wiring. It got so hot that it melted the vacuum line where it crossed over, so that needs to be fixed as well. All you'll have is defrost (no floor or dash vents) until you fix all the vacuum leaks.

Well,I bought the truck brand new and haven't added anything to it.I'll look further into it when the sun goes down-115 here today. What the heck, here's another pic of the wire heading down driver side of motor. Thanks Tugly I appreciate it
Well, since you bought the truck brand new, I would look back into the history of the truck and where it has been for repairs or accessory installs. Clearly that is not a factory wire that has since melted the coating and gone through the vacuum line.
Frankly, I think you are damn lucky you didn't have a fire insurance claim in the past for this truck.
So. FYI, all wires begin and end some were. You can clearly see the beginning. Wonder were the end is??? At the other end maybe? Sorry, couldn't help it.
No matter what that wire is not factory original. The terminal end on the battery post is an aftermarket crimp on eylet and it obviously has no fuse. If it was fused it would not have burned up. Ford would never install something unsafe like that at the factory. As already said you are lucky it didn't start your truck on fire. There has to be something in your truck that doesn't work now because it now has no power. You must have something installed in your truck that is not original factory Ford equiptment. If you bought your truck new it could be dealer installed equiptment or a hack of a repair shop did a poor repair on something. I have seen dealer installed air conditioning and dealer installed trailer hitches and power windows and door locks on other trucks before. Follow the burnt mess and you will find what was not installed properly. All power wires should be fused with a fuse or a fuseable link at the power source to prevent what you have there. Good luck.
