When you get those figured out, if you can make them for a reasonable cost I'll be interested in a set or two.
I am working on it Rob, I have to take the exhaust manifold on my spare engine down to get the trace of the surface. Curently I am off the road with my truck as both tanks out.
All the parts I am researching go to Justin and when he proofs them they will be distributed via his company under his label.
I would love to have him as a neighbour, I am the same nature as he is. When somebody says it cant be done, it is the challenge for me to proof it can be done. Everybody said you can not build entire house in one person, well then I am an example that you can. No company was here even a single minute, I managed to do everything by myself.[/QUOTE]
Yes Jan! You are my favorite European, Your neighbor says you cant build your house, you ****ing do it, and better yet, rub it in his face that you imported an IDI to the tune of 10K... **** you!... At the end of the day, its your happiness that matters... You can look at your house, look at your truck, and admire what YOU did... If your neighbor wants to join you, and admire your work, than he is your friend, but bottom line, you are what you do...
Yes that is me Well 8.20 in the morning, will go please the neighbours with the drill and grinder, cleaning the tanks to the steel. Still do not know if only to patch the bad area or just cut it out and weld new piece in. I need to be on the road during the weekend.
I was only curious, because we milled the heads .040 on a 360 and pretty much made everything fubar. Granted i wasnt in charge, was just set the task of putting it together to make it run, with no money for parts like push rods.
Little update, Justin has the first set already, I need to make a slight modification to have the firerings centered, they are off .5mm but other than that acording to Justin they fit fine, this would make the only problem when oringing the firering. But I hope we will not need it, as the design is far tougher than the stock. Justin is going to throw them in his new 500hp engine, so they will get hell thrown on them.
So now we have to wait for Justins results. Meanwhile I am exploring the roller rockers and exhaust manifold gasket made out of the reinz extreme.

Looks good to me for the first try never seeing the block.
I have a bad news concerning the roller rockers. The initial set is estimated for 1300 dollars roughly and the testing would be needed to verify the design. Maybe during the serie production the cost can drop, but it depends how actualy the first set goes during manufacturing process. Sorry I am not any help here.

Too bad on the roller rocker pricing. That's close to the HS pricing I believe.
I would like to thank all of you guys that are involved with this project...
#1 Where are the head gaskets?
#2 whose truck are they in, (and pictures)
#3 I'm shure lots of us are interested so updates would be highly appreciated.

Justin Anderson has them. He is the owner of R&D. He will be the one that will test them. AFAIK he has not installed them yet.
A couple of posts up there are pics of the gaskets going on RacinNdrummin's engine. When it is finished it will go into his IDI Bronco for testing. If they work well (and they should) the idea is to have more made and sold through R&D. Great job Romel77 on getting these made!
I got to touch and feel this head gasket yesterday, nice piece. very good fire ring construction.
Type4 had his hands on them, he lives south of Portland Oregon...
I have no idea what state Justin is in, can someone tell me that?
I should have asked what state are the in. Just out of curiosity.... thanks.
